Amounts are the exact stored decimal strings. No rounding is applied. candidate_cost_usd is the sum of measured run costs. judge_cost_usd is the sum of stored tier-2 judge ledger rows, or null when none were recorded. total_cost_usd equals candidate plus judge only when every candidate cost is present and a judge cost was recorded.

Output

### The Problem
The bug is an **"off-by-one" error** in your loop condition.

### What goes wrong
When the loop reaches the very last item in the array, the condition `i <= items.length` allows the loop to run one extra time. During this final iteration, `items[i]` tries to access an index that doesn't exist (e.g., index 3 in an array of length 3). In JavaScript, accessing an out-of-bounds index returns `undefined`.

### Why it causes `NaN`
When the code performs `total + items[i]` (where `items[i]` is `undefined`), it effectively does `total + undefined`. Adding a number to `undefined` results in `NaN` (Not a Number). Once `total` becomes `NaN`, all subsequent math operations involving it will also result in `NaN`.

### What to change
Change the loop condition from `<=` to `<`.

**Change this:**
`i <= items.length`

**To this:**
`i < items.length`

This ensures the loop stops exactly at the last valid index of the array, preventing the code from trying to process an item that isn't there.
