When it fits — and when it doesn’t

A good fit for

  • Developers looking to automate their image asset creation process using AI

  • Design teams needing scalable and efficient storage solutions for vectorized images

  • Projects requiring high-quality, customizable imagery without manual design work

Look elsewhere if

  • Teams that require real-time image generation capabilities (batch processing only)

  • Budget-constrained projects where the cost of self-hosting is a concern

Known weaknesses

Each one links to the public issue, changelog or docs page it came from, where we have one.

  1. 01

Limited language support beyond JavaScript and Python

Primary focus on JavaScript with a community-maintained TypeScript SDK, no official support for other languages

  2. 02

Performance issues with large-scale asset generation

Known to slow down significantly when generating more than 100 assets in a single session

What it does well

  • AI-powered image asset generation

  • Prompt engineering guidance for better results

  • Vectorization capabilities for scalable and efficient storage
